Take a look at our venue from the sky...
42 Acres Retreat Centre was originally built as a Dairy farm in the 1850s and the two original homes joined together in early 2000's. It is now used primarily as a retreat centre for group bookings and hosts a number of activities focused around wellbeing, nature restoration and social change. It has 173 acres of forest garden to feed the majority of guests needs. There are 4 core residential buildings, The Farmhouse, Rettig, Deer cottage andSwallows Nest. There is also a yurt for group activities as well as the group room in the main Farmhouse. 42 Acres Retreat Centre has 18 rooms across the 4 buildings that can host up to 34 people (this number is based on shared rooms).
42 Acres was first conceived in 2015 by siblings Lara and Seth Tabatznik as a home for personal, social and environmental change after having been deeply inspired number of powerful personal retreats and workshops in their own lives. Including processes such as the Hoffman Process, Satori, Non-Violent communication workshops as well as working with plant medicines. Both Seth and Lara are strong advocates that outer change in the world starts with the self, or to quote Gandhi; “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.
At its core, 42 Acres continues to invite people to reconnect with nature, self and others but has now grown to offer so much more including a range of wellbeing and nature based experiences and events, a biodynamic farm and an abundant nature reserve. Guests are able to take advantage of the entire site during their stay including forest dining, extensive walking trails and activities such as foraging and bushcraft offered at an add on by the 42 acres staff.
